Last Thursday, five MMHS orchestra students attended the county awards banquet held at Wicomico High School. Earlier this month, Victoria Szczurko, Kennedie Hayward, Taylor Rhodes, Ximena Delgado, D'Nyah Fitzpatrick-Dashiell, and Brenae McCoy (not pictured) earned Superior ratings at the state solo and ensemble festival at the University of Maryland. Their orchestra director, Ms. Cook, and their principal, Mrs. Hastings, joins them in this photo. Congrats to these students for their hard work and dedication!

Members of Ms. Cook's Mardela Middle/High and Salisbury Middle Combined Orchestra attended Busch Gardens on Friday May 22nd and competed in their annual Music in the Parks competition. We had an amazing time making music and riding the roller coasters! We scored an "excellent" rating for our performance. Congrats to these students for representing us so well!

Mr. Hastings' AP Computer Science Principles classes finished their final programming projects and showed off their hard work to their classmates. Students were tasked to create their own program using the Python programming language. Projects ranged from a mental health chatbot, a text-based basketball game, a plant advising program, to a complete interactive Pokedex and everything in-between. Mr. Hastings is very proud of how much they were able to create in a short time.
