Over a dozen students are participating in Wicomico County Public
Schools' C.R.E.W. program this summer. C.R.E.W. stands for Career
Research Education and Work, and gives rising 10th, 11th and 12th grade
students the opportunity to work in a paid position in the community for
6 weeks during the summer. Students also get classroom training on
communication soft skills needed to be successful in the workplace.
On Wednesday, the students were visited by Lower Shore Workforce
Alliance's Sherri Sigrist who spoke to the class about various job
opportunities available on the Eastern Shore and how to pursue those
careers.
