Seniors, Wor-Wic’s Admissions Team will be at Parkside on Friday, April 11th to help begin the registration process for any of you planning to start your college experience at Wor-Wic after you graduate. Details are in your Google classroom. Sign up for an appointment by completing the Google form also posted in your Google classroom. The form will close on Thursday, April 10th. Next week will be an exciting one for Wicomico County Public Schools, as educators gather from around the school system April 10th for the annual Wicomico Teacher of the Year Celebration. The 26 semifinalists who were named earlier this year, and who took part in several scored activities, will find out that night who is one of the four finalists, and which finalist is the new Teacher of the Year. Good luck to all of them, and congratulations on being such excellent representatives of the teachers in their school or special program.

Dr. Yuriy Petrushenko, professor of economics at Sumy State University in Ukraine, studying at Salisbury University as an international Fulbright Scholar, spoke today at Parkside High to history classes. The title of his talk was "10 Myths about the Russian-Ukrainian War." Thank you to Dr. Sandy Pope and Mr. Chris Grande for setting up this wonderful opportunity for our students!

Spring break will be here soon! With all the adjustments made to the 2024-2025 school year calendar due to winter weather, here is a reminder of the correct spring break dates:
-Wednesday, April 16 is now a regular school day.
-Thursday, April 17 is a 3-hour early dismissal day.
-Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21st are days the schools and school system will be closed.
-Tuesday, April 22 is the day schools and offices reopen from spring break.
On March 25, DialogueNEXT was held in Washington, D.C. The Foundation unveiled 117 organizations, joining 153 Nobel and World Food Prize Laureates calling for drastic “moonshot” innovations to enable feeding a growing global population. Joining this important event were Parkside CTE Horticulture students and Borlaug Scholars, Jasmine Tribeck (Parkside), and Morgan Dawson (Wi Hi).
