Congratulations to Caitlyn Simpson, who was recently accepted into the Bands of America Honor Band to march in the 2026 Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA. 🌹🌹🌹
The members of the 2026 Honor Band, representing schools from across America, will gather together for the first time on December 27 to spend a week in Southern California for rehearsals, performances at the Tournament of Roses Bandfest, special activities, and a featured appearance in the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day and for broadcast worldwide.
This is an incredible honor, Caitlyn, and we are so proud of you!

Students from Pemberton Elementary were able to enjoy a Glam Day with manicures, braids, fun working with mannequins, and painting nail wheels while learning cosmetology skills from our Parkside CTE Cosmetology program!
The Glow Girls from Fruitland Intermediate were able to have a spa day with our junior Cosmetology students. Our Parkside CTE programs love to share our expertise with others!
Parkside eSports is getting some practice in this afternoon! We're thankful for this opportunity for our students as an extracurricular activity!
Congratulations to Ms. Kyla Walker on being our 2024-2025 Parkside CTE March Madness Champion! Ms. Walker's bracket ended up as the best after Florida's victory over Houston. Ms. Walker will get to keep the championship trophy (basketball) for the next year until the 25-26 champion is crowned... or will Walker go back to back??? We will find out next April!
