Parkside High School students are invited to attend an exciting field trip to the Piedmont Airlines maintenance facility at Salisbury Regional Airport on March 5th!
Permission slips are due no later than Friday, 02/27/2026. Slips can be picked up now in the Guidance Office. Spots are limited, so be sure to secure your form as soon as possible.
If you have a strong interest in business, skilled trades, aviation, or aerospace, this is a great opportunity to explore aviation careers, paid training programs, and direct employment pathways after graduation. If you have questions, please contact Career Coach Mr. Reed at rreed@mywcps.org
During this visit, students will receive a guided tour of the facility and learn about high-demand careers in aviation. Representatives from Piedmont Airlines will share information about several outstanding career pathway programs for students, including:
• Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) Tuition Payment Program
Launch your aircraft maintenance career without the stress of student loans! Piedmont will cover tuition, testing, and select fees at approved schools. Participants receive a conditional offer of employment at one of Piedmont’s East Coast maintenance bases.
• Ambassador Program
Interested in becoming a Cadet but still working toward your 500-hour minimum? The Ambassador Program has no minimum hour requirement. Students can network with aviation professionals, attend events with recruiters, and gain valuable insight into aviation careers.
• Cadet Program
Ready to take flight? Piedmont’s Cadet Program offers a $15,000 bonus and one of the fastest pathways to American Airlines. Build your flight hours on your terms with no restrictions. After completing the ATP-CTP course and exam, you’ll secure a guaranteed spot in the next available Piedmont new hire class—no additional interview required!

This weekend Parkside is being represented by Jada Kellam and Harjot Gill at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) in Ocean City, Maryland. RYLA is an intensive leadership training experience where they participate in skill development (goal setting, public speaking, conflict resolution, etc...), team challenges, and service projects. Jada and Harjot are both incredible members of the Parkside High Class of 2027 and we are so proud of them and glad they are representing us! We can’t wait to hear about the conference!

We won't see Deputy Jerome Jones on Sunday, February 15th for National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day so the RAMFAM made sure we celebrated him today! All of the students took time out of their day to thank Deputy Jones for keeping us safe and secure here at Parkside CTE. We also made sure he got his favorite lunch from Johnny's! Thank you to Deputy Jones and all of the WCPS school resource officers for keeping the students of Wicomico County Public Schools safe!

Today the Parkside Kindness Club held their first official meeting! Joining us were CJ and Zion from the Salisbury University Kindness Club. We got to know each other, talked about what kindness means and values, discussed different types of projects that we could do, and had a team building exercise. It was an extremely productive meeting and we are so excited that we plan on meeting again in 2 weeks on February 26th. We know there are tons of RAMFAM who show kindness each and every day and it would be great if you could join us!
