Are you curious about what it’s like to work in professional sports beyond being an athlete? This is your chance! The Delaware Blue Coats, one of the top NBA G League teams affiliated with the Philadelphia 76ers and the closest team to Salisbury, are offering students an exciting behind-the-scenes experience inside a professional sports organization. Students must arrange transportation coordinated for after school. This opportunity allows students to explore the business side of sports while gaining hands-on exposure to a fast-paced, professional environment. Students will see firsthand how careers in sports go far beyond playing on the court.
Students will:
• See real-world applications of skills in business, technology, communications, and analytics
• Build essential career skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, networking, and professional communication
• Explore career paths in operations, marketing, broadcast production, data analysis, and community engagement
• Gain insight and inspiration from industry professionals, including senior leaders and guest speakers
• Receive recognition for participation, including a certified recommendation letter to support future school, internship, or career opportunities
This experience helps prepare students for college, career, and lifelong success while offering an inside look at the sports industry.
